Course Description

This blog is mainly for the academic purposes of ENGL 301 offered at the University of British Columbia in Summer 2020. This course is about workplace technical writing that is essential in the professional and business context.

Throughout the entire term, I will be completing short assignments, doing peer reviews and writing a formal report with the help of my instructor, Dr. Paterson. I will also be creating my personal portfolio on LinkedIn and on another business website. Virtual resources are the major communication channel that I use with Dr. Paterson and my peers, such as online discussion, peer review, comments, instructor’s blog and the analysis of some professional work.

Expectation for this course

My expectation in this course is to brush up my professional writing skills through the practice of business writing. I hope to reflect on my current writing style and develop self-editing skills for my future job endeavour.
