This is the page from which Epic Fantasy Books will be reviewed. This is one of my favorite genres to read, and a good epic fantasy book is almost like a song that can sweep a reader away.

I just heard about the Iron Elves Trilogy by Chris Evans, it looks like it might be fun, especially since a) I love military epic fantasy b) it has elves something that dont show up that often in urban fantasy.

urban has lots of vampires/witches/demons/sprites, but is often sadly lacking in elves.

Book:

Sharon Shin – Twelve Houses series (Favorite: Fortune & Fate)

– Female characters, 3 Dimensional, growth in the subjects, not annoying or whiny in terms of narrative/voice. Have magic, yet in these well developed world, being a mystic is a severe disadvantage and can even result in death in the Southern regions.
