At the end of the module, the students should be able to:
- Discuss the evolution of development thinking in forestry and the rationale of forestry for local community development;
- Describe the elements of forestry as a form of local community development intervention;
- Analyze the limitations of current forestry initiatives in advancing local community development; and
- Recommend appropriate strategies for how forestry interventions can better help achieve local community development.
