In 2012, we wrote a ThemeSong about aphasia with Lowry Olafson.
What I mean to say
May not be the words you hear
And it could take a little patience
Because I’ve got aphasia
It isn’t always clear
Just what I mean to say
Some of us find it hard to talk
Some have to struggle just to read and write
But everyone of us can laugh
If you listen with your heart
Maybe then you’ll understand
What I mean to say
May not be the words you hear
And it could take a little patience
Because I’ve got aphasia
It isn’t always clear
Just what I mean to say
We can think and we can dream
And give each other reason to believe
Though sometimes we’ll get it wrong
We can choose to carry on
And make our voices strong
What I mean to say
May not be the words you hear
And it can take a little patience
Because I’ve got aphasia
It isn’t always clear
Just what I mean to say
