Land Acknowledgement, Reconnaissance du Territoire
The CASCA Local Organizing Committee for 2024 would like to acknowledge that we are uninvited settlers here on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Syilx Okanagan Peoples. The Syilx Okanagan Peoples have been stewards of this land since time immemorial. We as uninvited settlers have a duty to stand in solidarity with Syilx Peoples.
Le Comité local d’organisation de la CASCA pour 2024 souhaite reconnaître que nous sommes des colons non invités sur le territoire traditionnel, ancestral et non cédé des peuples Syilx de l’Okanagan. Les Syilx Okanagan Peoples sont les gardiens de cette terre depuis des temps immémoriaux. En tant que colons non invités, nous avons le devoir d’être solidaires des peuples Syilx.

What are the role limitations for submission?
For example, if I co-organize a workshop may I also submit an individual Flash presentation?
Thanks for asking – we are limiting this to two roles and I will update this language on the CFP, so yes, you can co-organize a workshop and also submit an individual flash presentation.
For organized panels, how many papers and participants are allowed? For example, in a panel with a chair and someone else as discussant, how many papers could we include?
Thanks for your question: Organized panels will be 1.5 hours in length (as our workshops and round-tables), so we are scheduling panels with either 4 presenters and a discussant (15 minutes each) OR 5 presenters (15 minutes each) and then a 15 minute time-slot for discussion.

I have submitted an organized panel as organizer. I am not giving a paper in the panel. Can I also submit a flash talk abstract? Thank you for any information you can provide, and I look forward to the conference.
Hi, I have submitted an individual paper to the roundtable, but there was only an option for submitting a whole roundtable group. I indicated that I was submitting as a single participant, I hope it works.
