To make the 2024 CASCA meeting in Kelowna as sustainable as possible, the organizing committee recommends the following best practices for all attendees:

– Please remember to pack a reusable water bottle, thermos, and/or mug. Pitchers of water and water refilling stations will be placed at every conference room, and all UBC campus food outlets offer a $0.50 eco-discount when customers provide their own reusable beverage container.

– Please do not print out a paper program. An online program will be provided, and paper programs announcing each day’s events will be posted at central conference locations.

– When at the conference, please follow posted signage and/or volunteer instructions regarding how to dispose of refuse. Different bins will be provided to sort refuse, but cross-contamination by improperly sorted items will make recycling or composting impossible.
