Physical Accessibility of UBC Okanagan Campus
UBC is committed to providing universal accessibility at its facilities and requires that all Okanagan buildings meet British Columbia Building Code accessibility provisions. However, some areas of the UBC Okanagan campus have significant gradient changes which may create barriers for some people with mobility impairments. The CASCA conference activities are clustered in a set of buildings that are wheelchair accessible, with minimal gradient changes.

Digital Accessibility
The CASCA Local Organizing committee is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for virtual attendees and are following best practices. Virtual sessions of the CASCA conference will be hosted through the online platform Gather. For best experience with the platform, Gather recommends using Google Chrome as a web browser, which offers a live-captioning extension that works well for users who are Deaf or have hearing impairments. The CASCA Local Organizing Committee is working to design Spaces to accommodate all users following Gather’s accessibility best practices documentation. Gather’s Accessibility Statement can be found here.
