It is Canadian Thanksgiving today.
Today also marks the 100th Independence Day of Taiwan from China.
I celebrate neither.
In English Lit my professor noted how the marking of statutory holidays defines a nation.
How the days we gather with our family reflects the values we hold dear; it reflects the culture we identify with.

Well, seeing as most of my culture’s holidays focus on things like…. magical bunnies, fat men dressed in red, turkey, and scary things… I don’t know how proud of this fact I am ;D
