How was my experience in the teacher education program?
During my 12-month enrollment in the teacher education program at UBC, I had as many ups and downs as a roller coaster ride. That is probably the best way to describe my experience entering in as a fairly naive and young teacher candidate. I had my mind open to a world of knowledge that had previously been closed before, overlooked by my wandering eyes. I had entered into the program thinking that I had a fairly good idea of what a teacher was supposed to be. Now, 12 months later, my image of the teaching profession has transformed into something much more complex – with more questions than answers. I have documented more of my reflections and thoughts in this one year than I probably have my entire undergraduate degree.
