A discussion about photographic composition will not improve your ability to compose better photographs, unless you can apply the terms and techniques you explored in the last two activities. Now it’s time to get out your camera and try creating some of your own compositions.

Photography Activity – Individual

  1. Complete the final column of the worksheet you started earlier.

Since you may have very little experience using digital cameras, you may simply use a smart phone camera to complete the photography assignment. If you have a DSLR or other higher quality camera feel free to use it. or you may be able to borrow one from your instructor.

Submit Two Composition
Quiz Questions

To evaluate your newly developed understanding of the composition, it’s time to write an online quiz soon. The quiz questions will be submitted by students in the “Quiz Questions” discussion forum. To assist you in preparing for the quiz, you will all have full access to the “Quiz Questions” discussion forum and it’s pool of questions, most of which will appear on the quiz.

Write Quiz Questions – Individual

  1. Submit two composition quiz questions to the “Quiz Questions” discussion forum here. Be sure the questions relate directly to the composition content found your worksheets. Questions may contain photos and may be a range of formats including true or false, multiple choice, matching or short answer.
  2. Be sure to include the answers to your questions

The quiz will be written in about one week – check with your instructor for exact date.
