There will be prizes given on Friday, at the end of the conference, for best survey & hands-on projects, best presentation, and best Masters student’s project.

Reminder: Only those students who attend the prizes session of the conference will be eligible to receive these prizes.

The new deadline is April 17th. TurnitIn will be used for this submission, too.

We are going to have 1.5 days of exciting and insightful presentations about a large variety of subjects on security, from cloud, to mobile, to OSN, to smart grid & home, and usability. The conference schedule remains to be subject to minor tweaks.

We are going to have prizes in the following categories:

• Overall best survey
• Overall best hands-on project
• Overall best presentation
• Best Masters project

Yes! In theory, a single Masters student can win three out of four prizes!

Note: Only those who attend the “best project announcements and prizes” session at the end of the conference will be eligible for the above prizes.

Due to the course professor being sick with a cold, March 20 class is cancelled. Classes will resume on Thursday, March 22.

We are approaching our conference. Due to high popularity of the course (25 students) and because every student chose to do an individual project, we are going to have 25 presentations during the mini-conference. Fitting all the presentations into one day is clearly unrealistic. So, we have to use 1.5 days, April 12 (full day) and 13 (morning only).

Every presentation will have 20 minutes, 15 minutes for presenting and 5 minutes for answering questions. Presentations will be grouped by theme so that topic-wise related presentations will be scheduled next to each other. If you have any time conflicts for the times of the conference and want to make sure that your presentation is not conflicting with your other commitements, please notify Kosta as soon as possible, so that he can take this into account.
