Activity # 4 (Group Work)
Mar 31st, 2012 by David Symonds
Step 1: With your group members, make a list of interesting idioms you are already familiar with. Try to think of at least 10 idioms that are funny or interesting. If you need help, you can look at http://www.idiomsite.com/ or http://www.idiomconnection.com/ to find some good ones.
Step 2: Practice using your new idioms in a sentence with your partners. When your partner uses his or her idiom in a sentence, show your understanding by responding to their statement.
Example:
A: It’s raining cats and dogs out there, but I left my umbrella at home!
B: Oh no, that’s too bad! Here, you can borrow mine.
When you are finished practicing, go on to Activity # 5
