Building Your Internal Pitch

Intrapreneurs can be both buoyed and slowed by the fact that they are pitching new ideas from the inside. Many could benefit, though, from being more prepared, collecting more relevant data and preparing more formally. What more would they do if they were an outsider, like an entrepreneur pitching to venture capitalists?

Guy Kawasaki’s 10 Slide Pitch for entrepreneurs is an approach that intrapreneurs could well adopt. There are some minor tweaks to be made: you might be pitching a Project Team versus a Management Team, for instance. But the fundamentals apply and can help focus the way you research, develop and pitch your innovation.
