In the context of a one day symposium on
Contemporary Histories – Intersecting Pasts and Futures
hosted by the Dept. of Art History, Visual Art and Theory this Friday, Feb. 25th, Prof. Giovanni Careri, (EHESS, Paris) will be giving a keynote address that will analyse elements from Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel against images from Beckett’s Waiting for Godot, with reference to Walter Benjamin’s concept of history. The talk takes place in the Lillooet Room, Irving K. Barber Learning Center, from 3:30 – 4:45. All are welcome!
