In April, the EDST community stepped away from desks and screens and into the tranquil beauty of nature for our monthly Mindfulness with Mahfida session—this time, a Cherry Blossom Walking Tour at the Nitobe Memorial Garden.

Basked in sunlight and surrounded by vibrant spring blooms EDST students, shared smiles, quiet reflection, and moments of true presence together. As the cherry blossoms unfurled around us—deliberately blooming in sequence throughout the season—we were reminded of the power of slowing down, being present, and noticing beauty in transition.
A Shared Moment of Calm
From laughter on the bridges to peaceful walks under delicate pink petals, the garden provided the perfect setting to breathe, connect, and let go of stress. The photos say it all—joy, ease, and renewal in full bloom.
While looking at the photos, it’s easy to reflect:
“There was something so grounding about walking together in silence beneath the cherry trees. It felt like the whole world paused with us.”

Why It Matters
The EDST Mindfulness series continues to create space for our community to support mental well-being through small, intentional moments of care. Whether it’s crafting, meditation, or a quiet garden walk, these events invite us to reconnect—with ourselves and with one another.
