Here are some examples of my work in my English 301 class.

• Definition.This is my first assignment in my English 301 class. It helps me in learning how to write with target audiences. One of the most important thing in this assignment is to avoid jargon. It is because the target audience is the public which not everyone of the readers have the same level of knowledge about Psychology. In order to cater for all the readers, I tried to use simple and clear terms to present my idea.
• Formal-Report Proposal.The proposal is used as a brainstorming tool for me in order to further develop my ideas into a research project which allows me to use the skills I learnt from class. I have to plan ahead in my proposal so that I can prove my ideas to my audience with a confident and professional way.
• Two Complaint Letter. The complaint letters asks students to write on both sides of a complaint and with a professional tone. The respondent have to be apologetic while staying neutral. Keeping a neutral tone without any emotions is the hardest thing in this assignment.
• Peer review. For every peer review I wrote in this class, I always learnt something from each of my peers. Some of them are their brilliant writing styles and some of them are the mistakes that I also made in my work. Reviewing their work feels like I am reviewing my own work. It also helps me to learn more about the requirements of my assignments.
