The CTLT Institute is a one-week professional development institute offered to faculty, staff and students at the University of British Columbia. As a co-organizer of the CTLT Institute in 2013 we worked to plan, develop and offer a professional development institute that met the teaching and learning needs of the community and provided innovative and useful workshops focused on teaching, learning and technology.
The 2013 Institute was attended by more than 300 faculty, staff and students from across the UBC campus. The themes for the institute we developed in consultation with stakeholders from across campus:
- Pathways to Educational Leadership
- Techniques and Technologies in the Flexible ‘Classroom’
- Transformative Teaching and Learning
In order to provide support beyond the face-to-face institute session, we recorded and archived a number of the workshops from the session.
