Interview with a Founder

To provide an insider’s view of the life of an makerspace protagonist, we will be hosting an interview with Jason Hakki, co-founder of Rapid Gantry CNC located in Prince Rupert, British Columbia.

Our live broadcast will occur on Friday November 1 at 3:15 PST. The live broadcast will be embedded as a YouTube livestream on this webpage, and will remain available afterwards as a recorded artifact. Please note that during technical testing, we experienced an approximate 2 minute delay on the live Youtube stream.

    Which agency did you get support from?

    • Hello @jldr, sorry, I didn’t see your message before we culminated the interview. I asked Jason, and he said the organizations were Hecate Straight Community Development (http://hseds.ca/) and Small Business Research and Development. These are initiatives local to the town of Prince Rupert.

        Thanks for looking into that for me! I had some technical issues when trying to submit the question. It caused the page to refresh and restart the video so I had to scroll through and watch the video of the end of the interview.

        • Sorry about the technical problem there, @jldr. These things don’t always work out exactly as planned (as noted around minute four of this video….!) Jason mentioned that if anybody has any further questions, do not hesitate to ask, and I will follow up.
