    Hi Brian,
Thanks for the sharing. Those tools are very useful. I have only tried Mentimeter before and it was very well received. I normally use Mentimeter when introducing a new concept/term, asking the students to brainstorm and input freely their ideas or whatever pops up to their minds. Their thoughts will then appear beautifully as word cloud on the screen, in which I can know the students’ understandings and then start to teach from there. As the process is conducted anonymously, therefore even those students who are too shy to voice out their thoughts or afraid of making mistakes, will feel more comfortable to participate. I have also used Mentimeter for voting the best performer/speaker, it saves a lot of work and and the result can be presented nicely in a graph and immediately.

Hi Brian, I really enjoyed your assignment. It looks very professional, and the Assessment of and for chart was a great refresher. Thanks for sharing the different types of assessment tools. I haven’t used any of them before, but I’d like to try them out now. You made a good point that when student use mobile devices, it can interrupt their learning. However, I think if teachers set expectations and with practice this can be easily avoided. Do you have a favourite tool that you use?
