I recently received a quarterly communication from the firm I invest my finances with, and this iteration had two very interesting articles relating directly to the growth of mobile telecommunications networks and tech stocks amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Where most industries experienced severe knocks, these two seem to be rapidly growing despite the global economic strain! Just sharing the articles for those interested in giving them a read.
Dialling in to the mobile network operators (July 2020)

Orbis: Tech opportunities rise in the East (July 2020)

Hi Jamie,
I tried to read the articles but I was lost at the economic terms and expressions. I don’t know much about the econ part, however, at a very early stage of the COVID-19, all of the companies from China mentioned in the second article indeed have made great effort to facilitate online cooperation and learning. Starting by freeing up charges with unlimited time and data (some developed the capacity to hold hundred people’s meeting), followed by leading the collaboration with hospitals to offer free online medical inquiries and etc,.
Of course companies all work towards profits, however, at times like these we are happy to see that at least they are also taking social responsibilities.
