Hello everyone,
I’m Steve, and I’m currently living in China as an English teacher for pre-school students. This is my fourth course in the MET program, and I really enjoy the learning environment.
My family and I moved to Vancouver 10 years ago from China. Because of the COVID-19, my wife and I decided to move back to China temporarily. I’m married for almost 10 years, but we don’t have children yet. I also worked in BMO as a Financial Services Manager for a couple of years, and now I really enjoy my new role as an English teacher. My working place in China is an after-school tutoring institution, and my students’ ages are from 3 to 5. Mobile devices are my primary education tool to interact with my students. I assign homework and extra readings on the company’s App to students and using the WeChat App to create a chatting group for students’ parents to ask questions. From my experiences, I believe that mobile and open learning education is the trend for future educational development.
I’m looking forward to exploring more teaching knowledge, experiences, and practical methods with and from all of you.
