TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design and there is a vast collection of current and cutting-edge topics to choose from. Every TED Talk includes subtitles and transcripts in multiple languages; it is easy to follow along, pause, re-listen and take notes while watching them. Another unique feature of TED Talks is the rich cultural backgrounds and English accents of the speakers, as well as the global locations that are used for the talks. TED Talk speakers include world famous writers, scientists, artists, academics, and technologists, to name a few. The talks cover a wide range of relevant current topics; they are free of charge to listen to, and accessible to anyone with a mobile phone, tablet or PC. These talks can inspire conversation, questions, and debate, as well as provide content for educational and in particular language learning projects
