Hello and welcome to my fellow colleagues. I hope everyone had a good and safe holiday. I am very honoured to a part of ETEC 523 course. I looking forward to learn from my colleagues and share any knowledge I may have with you. I entered the education field in 2004 as teacher but worked in various areas of education for least 20 years. I currently am employed by the Siksika Board of Education as a Vice-Principal at the local Jr/Sr high school. I am from the Siksika Nation (Blackfoot Confederacy) in southern Alberta. I am married with 4 children and 3 grandchildren. My wife is an elementary teacher at the local school here on the reserve.
Teaching and education is my passion. I love learning and sharing any knowledge with everyone. I have learned to see the world with open eyes. I forward to meeting everyone in the course.
Thank you
Hi Tyrone!

Hello Jennifer! I also look forward to learning you as well. Sorry for the late response! My old school brain is working against me! Wish you all best.
Hi Tyrone! I think you are my closest neighbour on this course. I live in Canmore and teach at Exshaw School, where almost all of our students live on the Stoney Nakoda reserve, around Morley. I look forward to hearing about your experiences teaching on the Siksika Nation.
Hello Wendy! Sorry for the late response but off course my old school brain is preventing me my adapting to a new platform. I am a fast learner though. I am very interested in various schools and their approach to Indigenous education and its’ application. Good luck and wish all the best.
Hello! With such a variety of education experience behind you, I look forward to hearing your take on the ideas in this course.
Hello Lyndsay! Sorry for the late response. I am very willing to share everything that I know. Nice to meet you. I wish you all the best in the course.
