Sorry to keep you all waiting!
I’m Sean. Sean Gallagher, if we’re being formal, and I’m a post-secondary instructor and educator living in Toronto. My undergrad degree is in Photography — I’m sure I’ll explain at some point — but I also spent a dozen years assisting in various ways — actually, pretty much all of the possible ways — with the design, pedagogy, development and support of fully-online degree credit courses. I’ve written code, drawn graphics, authored scripts, trained faculty, supported students, designed learning objects, built user guides, managed staff, edited media, ensured accessibility, drafted policy and taught in the classroom for over 20 years. I also helped deliver an open, online MOOC (remember them?) called “Online Instruction for Open Educators”.
This is my third ETEC course, and I’m here to take the loose, jumbled mess of my educational experience and knowledge and organize it, refine it, add to it and share it. I look forward to working with all of you!
Hi Sean, With your vast knowledge in this area, I am looking forward to your inputs and learning from you!
Hi Sean. You have an amazing assortment of skills. I know that we will be starting work soon. It would be great if we are assigned together. Your skill set seems vital to this course.
Hi Sean,
Glad to have you in the course! You have such great experiences, I look forward to learning with you!
Hey Sean, nice to meet you. It sounds like you have a wealth of experience in a variety of fields, I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with in this course! I really appreciate your last paragraph; what a concise and accurate way to condense the reasoning of why, I imagine, many of us are in this program. Cheers!
Hi Sean,
I think you have a wonderful background that will enhance other student’s understanding in the class. It sounds like your background in instruction, media, art, tech and management equips you with multiple perspectives. Good luck this semester!
Jen
Hi Sean,
Welcome! I’m sure your jumbled mess of experience will be useful in this non-traditional class, I’m looking forward to hearing more about it.
