Implications and Consequences of the Printing Press

Sean and I have been working on a documentary titled “Implications and Consequences of the Printing Press”.

Title of presentation: Implications and Consequences of the Printing Press
Production choices: Google Slides/Video clips from movies/documentaries
Style: Timeline – chronological sequence of the printing press
Successes: With two group members, we were able to create an informative account of society before, during and after the invention of the printing press
Challenges: Having to cut back and stay within our time limit.

Your video is very informative and does a nice job of covering life prior to the printing press, where the town crier was responsible for sharing important news, through to the implications and effects of the printing press. With the shift towards more written word, it is no wonder that there was also an increase in the movement towards literacy. People could no longer rely on the town crier to know what was happening.
In regards to the physical part of your production, it was neat to see the inclusion of video clips. This helped to bring it more to life. As I finished my own screen cast (first one ever!) I was reflecting back on how to improve it and I wished I had added some video. I even figured out how! But that will wait for another assignment.
