Rip Mix Feed – Spicynodes

For my Rip Mix Feed I wanted to explore a mind mapping app to highlight some of the changes in communication we explored throughout this course.

I chose Spicynodes because I could imagine incorporating this app into my intermediate classroom. I can envision my students creating a Spicynode to demonstrate their understanding of an assigned topic – perhaps explaining the Canadian Government hierarchy and responsibilities.

I created a simply node with a quick paragraph for each topic and included pictures to help illustrate my points. I hope you enjoy it.

  1. I love mind maps. I use them a lot in decision making. The way data is visualised allow you to see the big picture

  2. Cool idea. I think graphic organizers such as mind maps are super useful for students to organize information and see/make their own connections. I think doing a mind map on the computer would really motivate and engage students, and perhaps those students who are not as neat or as artistically inclined as others would be more motived or better able to express their ideas.
