Passport Program

The Passport of Participation documents the passport owner’s UBC Community based professional development activities offered through the Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology (CTLT) and its partners. It is one of the ways that we recognize professional development activities for the improvement of teaching and learning at UBC.

We have been working to promote this program by improving its visual presence (Zack Lee re-designed the poster), by reminding members of the TLPD team to promote the program through their workshops and events, and by working with other CTLT staff (i.e. staff at the front desk) to ensure they know how to “award” a recognition item to any individual who comes to our Centre for that purpose.

Next Steps

We will continue to promote the Passport Program as part of the registrable events offered at CTLT, for example through the CTLT Dialogues and posters at CTLT’s Ike Barber location.

We are awaiting modifications to our online registration system before deciding how to promote the Program more actively with our partners.

Eventually, we would like the Passport Program users to be able to organize the events that show up on their passport into categories that are meaningful and useful to them (i.e. professional growth related to technology, to course design, and so on).
