Goals

The aim of this study is to learn more about goal pursuit. Therefore, we will be asking you to think about three goals that you can pursue throughout the duration of the study. These goals can be new or existing ones. They can also be goals you work on with your partner (which we will ask about)

As the purpose of the study is to capture goal pursuit in daily life; we will be asking about your goal progress in every daily questionnaire. Therefore, it is important to have goals that you can work on daily and that are not completed with one attempt (such as going grocery shopping).

Your goals should be specific, measurable, and achievable!
For example, having the goal of “being physically fit” is too broad, a better goal would be “to go for a 15-minute walk every day after lunch”

Other good examples of goals:

  • Dedicate 15 minutes daily to declutter my attic
  • Paint for at least 20 minutes every day
  • Work on birthday party (e.g., planning the party) for at least 20 minutes

We hope the goals you select are enjoyable and that the study is a pleasant experience for you!
