A patron was working on a document on one of the computers, and purchased a rewritable CD from the circulation desk. I tried every way I could think of to burn the file to the CD, but it kept on failing with various errors. She ending up going back to circulation and buying a floppy disk.
I assume that since we sell CDs that we are able to write to them from the library machines – could someone please recommend a method?
Thanks, Francesca

Hi Francesca,
Thanks for posting about this issue. I’m not sure which method you were using to burn a CD, but I have found that now and again you get a faulty disc. I would suggest exchanging the CD first, then if it doesn’t work it may be a problem with the workstation in which case the patron would have to save it to another format, print it, or email it and then you would need to reboot the station. I think the burning method is fairly straightforward and is probably not the problem, but perhaps someone else has some additional advice.
