The new printers have been set up (by Tracy from IT). I have left sample printouts at the ref. desk. New prices are $0.07 for black and white and $0.40 for colour. Almost all of the computers on level two have been restarted and the new grizzly (b&w) printer shows up as the default. Users must manually select the colour printer if that’s what they want so hopefully there won’t be too many expensive mistakes. Several computers that were in use at the time that the IT staff were here have not been re-started so they will not reflect the new printers – however users can still print from them (I checked one that was not re-booted and can’t tell the difference…). All the computers will be restarted over night and should all be set up for the new printers by tomorrow. If, after that, any of the computers do not appear to be displaying the correct printer, try restarting the computer. If that doesn’t work call IT.
Xerox Rep (Anthony Wong) has also done some installation work on the map printer so that should be all ready to go too.
