The journal move and interfiling project is now at LA2128. Kerry anticipates that at some point today they will have finished moving the Level One books, and will start bringing the Ps downstairs from level 4. So… not all books in the Ps will be on level 4 anymore after today. More updates as they are available.

Now up to HN 51. About half way through the collection.

Now interfiled to HD7391.

The circ staff doing the interfiling of journals and books have moved quite a few journal titles in the Ps-Zs to the upper floors of Koerner. I have put the list of journal titles that have been moved in the “Koerner Floor Plans” blue binder at the Reference Desk. As well, I have included extra copies of the current week’s floor plan for level one. I will put weekly updates in this binder.
I have also put copies at the Journals/Microform desk.
So if a patron can’t find a journal downstairs in the swing space, check the lists to see if it has been moved upstairs.

Journals and books interfiled to HC79 P6 L55 as of Friday January 19th.

Now interfiled to GN33 I…

From Paul…
Thanks to Tracey and the magic of Sytems(TM), we can now print to the public print station from the reference desk (or any other) computer.
To do so, you will have to set up a new printer in the traditional manner.
Follow this path:
Control Panel/Printers and Faxes/Add printer/../Network Printer/
When asked for the network name, type
\\gamma\HUMANITIES-P1 Public Printer
(it will appear in a drop down list as soon as you finish typing “\\gamma\”
After that, you’ll be able to select that printer in the normal manner.
When you print to the print station, you will bypass all the payment controls, etc, and the job will print out immediately. So it’s best to have a look and make sure there’s not a huge queue of people waiting to print, just in case your job gets mixed in with someone else’s.

From Lynne Gamache on Friday January 5th:
“Yesterday we completed the E’s. This point represents 33% of the collection consisting of Koerner books, Koerner bound journals, and IKBLC books. To get there, we have used 31.2% of the available shelving. Well done, Kerry, Erin, David and the student moving crew. Thanks, too, to Lincoln for his help over the past couple of weeks.”

The books and journals interfiling reached call number CD3645 on Friday Nov 24.

The books and journals have been interfiled to BM316 as of Friday November 17th. The pace may slow down a bit now with increased demands on shelvers time to do regular shelving. Note also, more journals have been moved to swing space so arrangement of journals is a little confusing there. Maps available at the Ref and Journals Desks.
