iLibris: The Tech of the Bookish, social media for info pros is a blog about Web 2.0 technologies implemented and integrated into the world of information professionals, libraries, and archives.  This blog is an attempt toward a balanced and informed perspective on Social Media, Web 2.0, and Library 2.0, how libraries, archives, and information professionals are tapping into the long tail with technologies centered on users, communities, and participation.

I am a library, archival and information studies graduate student at the University of British Columbia. This blog started as an assignment for a graduate course, LIBR 500 Foundations of Information Technology in March 2011 and is currently continuing for the course LIBR 559M Social Media for Information Professionals.
