On behalf of UBC Dollar Project and UBC Filipino Student Association, we would like to welcome you to UBC50K! Our mission is to raise a minimum of $50,000 to support those affected by the super typhoon Haiyan.
Our endeavors revolve around UBC Dollar Project’s founding idea of collective action that if everyone in the university donates at least $1, we would be able to raise a minimum of $50,000. All of our proceeds will go directly go towards Canadian Red Cross where the Canadian Government will match our donation dollar for dollar.
The procedure is very simple. We created a Do It Yourself instruction and a registration form so that anybody can make their own registered donation container to bring to their offices/clubs/etc (any large gatherings will do). We will be collecting the donation containers at the AMS VP Finance Office at the Student Union Building (SUB 238M) from November 25th-29nd.
Procedure:
1.) Register your organization or office
2.) Create your own container Using the following possible labels:
3 x 7.5 Label (e.g small round container)
3 x 7.5 Label Large Round Container
3.5 x 5 Label (e.g Rectangular ice cream container)
4 x 7.5 Label (e.g. yogurt container)
5 x 7 Label (e.g vase)
3.) Send us a picture of your container (optional)
4.) We will be collecting the donation containers at the AMS VP Finance Office at the Student Union Building (SUB 238M) from November 18th-22nd.
We will have our campaign clinic set up at the Student Union Building at these locations and times
