Jan Lüdert is a PhD candidate in the department of Political Science. He holds a Masters of Arts in International Relations from the Australian National University and a Bachelor of Business Administration and Public Policy from Hamburg Universityfor Economics and Politics. Jan studied at the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania focusing on sociology and economics. Prior to his graduate work he coordinated grassroots’ community programs in Botswana for two years. This work in the non-governmental sector of international development spurred his interest in transnational politics and international ethics. His dissertation focuses on the interactions of non-state actors and intergovernmental organizations in relation to state sovereignty.
