Hi everyone! My name is Rachel and I’m a third year psychology major. It’s really hard for me to pick favourites, so I’ll just say that two books I really love are ‘Jitterbug Perfume’ by Tom Robbins and ‘The History of Love’ by Nicole Krauss.

Heyy! My name is Becky, I am a 4th (technically 5th) year Psychology Major. It’s hard for me to pick an absolute favourite book, as I have read so many good ones, but i think that “Extremely Close, and Incredibly Loud” by Jonathan Safran Foer is one of my top picks. I would also recommend his two other books, “Everything is Illuminated” and “Eating Animals”. His wife’s book “The History of Love” by Nicole Krauss, is also a beautiful read.

    Helloooooo!

I’m Nawel, I’m a 4th year BA student majoring in Interdisicplanry Studies…aka- fun times!

I have to be 100% and say that befoe I saw this class on the SSC I had never heard of Vonnegut however, get this, last term my prof. referenced a movie “slaughterhouse five” and I thought if there is a book?!

I did do a bit of research after registering, and Vonnegut sounds like an amazing person! From what I have read, his work is captivating, fast and profound.

I’ll post in a bit, after finishing chp 2-4 🙂

    Hey, I’m Tyler

I am currently a third year student, doing a double major in Geography and Biology. My favourite book would have to be The Catcher in the Rye. I read it in high school, and I felt that I related very well to the character, and I was really able to get into the mind of the character, which was an interesting experience. After doing some research on Kurt Vonnegut, I feel that he will be a very interesting person to focus on, and I am looking forward to reading my first book by Vonnegut!

    Hey everyone,

My name is Lee and I’m a third year earth and ocean sciences student. I am admittedly not very well read, but I would have to say my favorite nonfiction book is one I am reading now called UFOs: Generals, Pilots, And Government Officials Go On The Record. I have always been a big fan of science fiction and the possibility of there being intelligent life is very appealing to me. This is partly why I chose to take this course as it will allow me to explore some well known science fiction literature.
