Construction in the Law Library

Library renovations will begin on Tuesday, May 3rd. The wooden Ph.D carrels on the top floor will be dismantled, a new meeting/training room will be constructed in the NE area of the top floor, new Ph.D carrels will be located along the west side of the top floor, and an enclosed room will be constructed in the SW area of the bottom floor. In addition, electrical upgrades on all three floors will provide floor-mounted outlets for laptops.

The renovations are expected to take approximately six weeks.

Law Journals Shifting Project

Due to a space shortage, the early runs of the bound journals, (from the start date to 1989), are being moved to the compact shelving area on the bottom floor of the Law Library.

However, the complete runs of the Canadian academic law journals will continue to be shelved in the Reserve area on the main floor of the Library.

Older issues of Hansards have also been moved to compact storage:
British Columbia. Debates of the Legislative Assembly
Canada. Debates of the House of Commons
Canada. Debates of the Senate
