This page will consider how we can co-design and learning collaborating by building our knowledge as learning designers.
My colleague Verena Roberts (a fellow UBC Learning Designer) and I are working on an article together. We examine the connection between Freire’s concept of conscientization and our own assessment practices as open teacher educators.
The article considers how to design for blogging as a means for authentic assessment in online courses.
As a result of this collaboration, we are building an open educational resource, a vademecum of sorts, about authentic assessment for our open, online, digitally enabled, learning design. Since this may be helpful for others striving to design their own teaching and learning spaces, we offer this ‘work in progress’ as our version of a ‘think aloud’ model.
