Impact is the difference between what would happen with action and what would happen without it. In the end, this is what matters; it is what affects communities, students and institutions like UBC. This symposium will unpack the notion of impact in international development and critically examine our pursuit of it.

- An opening panel discussion hosted by Amnesty International, BCCIC, Capilano Global Stewardship Program and Oxfam
- A feature presentation on the Sustainable Livelihoods Program by AUCC Students for Development
- Returning International Service Learning student presentations
- A closing Keynote presentation by Jacky Essombe: An African Inspiration
