The Research EXperience (REX)

Undergraduate Research Opportunities (URO), a student-run and AMS constituted, club here at UBC. We will be launching a program this September called The Research EXperience (REX).

What is REX?

REX is a year long program designed to help undergraduate students build essential research skills via the designing of a prospective research project (no results, lab time, or lab resources required). The skills to be acquired by the prospective students including, but are not limited to:

  • Formulate research questions
  • Understand how-to and actually perform literature reviews
  • Synthesize an experimental design
  • Creating / designing & printing a research poster
  • Learning how-to present a research poster
  • Present a prospective research poster at the Undergraduate Research Conference at UBC
