The UBC Dairy Education and Research Centre is located in Agassiz, 130 km east of the UBC Point Grey Campus. The farm is required to operate on a financially self-sustaining basis. In addition to its operation as a fully functioning dairy (milk) production enterprise, the Centre plays a unique role as a centre for research, teaching, and technology transfer relating to dairy and forage production, agronomic crops and practices, and soils. These activities involve active participation by faculty members and students from U.B.C. and other universities, government specialists, industry groups, and individuals.
A seasonal employment opportunity is available from May 1 to August 31. Preference will be given applicants with post-secondary education in agriculture an/or farm animal experience.
