Doing Development Differently: A Symposium on International Development – October 17th, 2015

This symposium on international development invites the UBC and wider Vancouver community to come together and engage in dialogue and critically explore what it means to learn, act, and be in solidarity with others in international development activities.

UBC students returning from their summer international service learning (ISL) placements will share their experiences, learning, and lingering questions at a post-engagement symposium. This year’s symposium- “Doing Development Differently: Engaging Young Adults in an Interconnected Global Community”- centres on student presentations and concludes with a public lecture by Stephen Lewis, who is known as one of Canada’s most influential pundits on international development and human rights.
