March for Science in Vancouver if happening this April 22!!
This is a non-partisan event where researchers and the public can express the important role science plays in our lives, as well as our support for science-based policy. There are over +450 marches being planned across Canada and internationally in +30 countries. Details about the event can be viewed HERE. This event has been endorsed by our parent society.
The UBC group will meet Queen Elizabeth Plaza at 9:45am on Earth Day – Apr 22, 2017. The march starts at 10am and goes until 1:30. Please bring any science-themed garb you may care to wear (such as lab coats, waders, oil-skins, etc.) or ask us and we can bring a lab coat for you. You could also bring a sign with a positive message. Please let the organizers know via the event page whether you are planning to come.
