Canadian Organic Growers – Organic Vegetable Seed Production e-learning

Canadian Organic Growers (COG), in partnership with USC Canada through the Bauta Family Initiative on Canadian Seed Security is offering for the third year, Canada’s only intermediate-level Organic Vegetable Seed Production e-learning certificate. I’m wondering if you could pass this info along to your students as the certificate may be of interest to anyone in agriculture or horticulture sectors.

In this 22-week course, students will learn about producing organic seeds including their commercial production, harvesting, quality, marketing, breeding and more. This certificate will prepare students for operating a seed business by building their own unique seed-farm business plan. This certificate is offered online, from April 8 – November 1 with a summer break from July 9 – September 2 and has an optional in-field experiential learning practicum placement.

Students interested in this certificate can find more information on COG’s website, or by email to education@cog.ca.
