Autobiography

imageMy name is Libby Aynsley and I have just completed my Bachelor of Education at UBC. I was a part of the KIPP cohort and I did my practicum with a kindergarten class in West Vancouver. I grew up in Kamloops BC and always enjoyed my years in school. I studied Sociology at the University of Victoria where I received a Bachelor of Arts in 2011. I knew I wanted to become a teacher when I was nearing the end of my degree at UVIC. I took a few years off in between to work different jobs and those jobs really solidified for me that teaching was where I was meant to be.

My year at UBC has been a year of growth and learning which has helped prepare me for a career in teaching. I have been hired on with West Vancouver as a teacher on call. I am so excited to see and experience many different teaching styles, classrooms and schools to help shape me into the teacher I want to become. Although the program has come to an end I feel like now is where the learning will really take place.
