Combining Optics (Physics) and Digital Art

Using different ratios of the three fundamental colours of light (red, green and blue), you can make any colour. This is called additive mixing and is used in stage lighting, televisions, and even your cell phone screen. When combined equally, they produce white light.

The three fundamental pigments are magenta, cyan, and yellow. These three pigments (along with black and white) are used to create the palette of colours that artists use. Pigments reflect light and when they are mixed, colour is subtracted. When the three fundamental pigments are mixed, all colour is subtracted and you get black!

Text and Organizer by Zac Miller, Taught by Carly Scarr

Carly was tasked with using a venn diagram as a way to help students distinguish between healthy and unhealthy relationships. She also was given a website (https://www.loveisrespect.org/healthy-relationships/) to refer students to as a way to provide them with some real life examples and answers to some of the characteristics they would write on the venn diagram.

Overall, Carly did extremely well in using both the online text and the graphic organizer as a way to enhance student learning. She was well organized, and was very knowledgable about the topic.
