Here is a big news that Alibaba went public in US, and an idea appeared in my mind. The most important reason for Alibaba to be successful is Yun Ma, the chairman of Alibaba Group, found the potential opportunity of internet marketing firstly. That gave them the unique advantage to promote themselves in a situation that with no stronger competitors in China.

This case proofs one of the pre-reading about the value proposition, which wrote how important to be the first one in their own field. Nowadays, many similar companies, like Jingdong, Dangdang have been founded in China but no one could beyond Alibaba. This depends on the wonderful operation of the leader team. So the second reason is obvious to see that the consumers and merchants’ requirement, even they will need in the future have all been met. It just like some building blocks, shifted for the need of the society. The business Alibaba have is comprehensive in the field of e-commerce. Meanwhile, all the brands they have are outstanding. This must be the toughest work they have been through, and it is the third reason why Alibaba could become so successful I think.

The Santa Clara University’s scholar ranks the NSA’s widespread surveillance network to be the number one business ethics issue happened in 2013. Because many world famous firms were involved in, like Google, Apple, Facebook and it actually made a big wave.

I don’t think that was the companies’ own fault or I don’t think we should blame these companies much. It was a kind of dilemma situation for them. The NSA have to protect the country including the information security and these enterprises have to coordinate with them. Individuals are dissatisfied with the losing of privacy although these information are used to analyze or assess by the government. It seems that there is a contradiction between respecting the citizens’ right and protecting the information security but I think a conclusion could be drawn by the two sides’ compromise. I believe people will understand why the NSA should do this if the relevant department declare that it is a new policy before the issue happened.

By the way,Google and Facebook these kinds of huge internet companies could make many of their users profile by using the information they have got. Selling them to the small companies who do not want to spend much money on research to find their target market.  Anyway, this incident has brought bad impact on the government and these companies’ reputation. They should take some action to recover this kind of embarrassing situation.
