I am a life-long nature lover who decided to pursue a career in wildlife conservation. As a child I wanted to become a scientist and my fondest memories involved spending time outdoors. I knew I wanted to work with animals, but becoming a veterinarian did not seem suitable due to my sensitive and squeamish nature. I love all plants and animals but I am most enamored with forest dwelling mammals. I am currently working on my masters at the University of British Columbia in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences where I research the impacts of resource development on grizzly bears in Alberta. For more information on the work that I do go to "My Research" page.
