Hi I’m Natalie! I was born and raised in Guelph, Ontario and graduated from Lakehead University with a Honours Bachelors of Geography and the Environment in 2017. In my summers between school years I was living in Banff National Park working as an outdoor sports store retail clerk and spending all my free time hiking, biking and camping. In the summer of 2017 and 2018 I had the incredible opportunity to work in Parks Canada Resource Conservation in Banff National Park. These experiences progressed my interests in environmental science, enivormental assessment, geomatics and scientific research. In 2019 I was accepted in the University of British Columbia Okanagan’s Masters of Earth and Environmental Science program and I am currently working on my Masters thesis to fulfill my degree.
Having a geography background has allowed me to apply my skills through a interdisciplinary approach and work on numerous projects throughout the past three years. I hope to continue my scientific research at UBC and continue to fulfill a career in environmental sciences/assessment after completion of my graduate degree.
