Fret not.

Lucidpress is a web-based publishing application which is intuitive to use, with it’s drag and drop interface. And you don’t need to worry if you are not a designer, because it offers a variety of beautifully designed templates to use (see list on right).

I used it for the first time to create this flyer to promote a new training program. The website claims that Lucidpress is:

  • Perfect for print;
  • Dynamic for digital;
  • Built for  collaboration; and
  • Easy from the start.

I was not disappointed. The design was completed in record time. I was not hindered at all by a learning curve — it was that easy to use! Once the design is complete, it can be linked easily to other social media sites. Which, as I am learning in the ETEC510: The Design of Technology-Supported Learning Environments, is a technological affordance that facilitates a participatory online culture.

FASD Training FlyerI imagine that are other opportunities to use Lucidpress in education, other than just creating promotional materials. As an educational tool, Lucidpress can be used by both educators or learners. Educators can use it for presenting information to learners, or for other training materials. And students can use the free trial version for projects or presentations.
