How to read instructions

A skill that is often taken for granted.  Instructions accompany every consumer good we come into contact with; do we give them a second thought.  Often as we are setting up a new TV and sound system we often only turn to the instructions when needed – at an information gap.  Unfortunately at this point, our emotions have reached a point where we are not receptive to reasonable input,  frustration has entered the activity, and you have now entered the “chord entanglement spectrum,”

I intend to develop the practice of teaching “Instruction Comprehension.” A lesson designed to help kids develop the skill of reading, understanding, and following written and verbal instructions.  This is based on the theory of “Learning to Learn.”
